Welcome to the CAG!

The Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) is a group of current and ex-consumers of ACSO services, who represent and advocates for the interest of all ACSO consumers by assisting ACSO to assess the accessibility of programs and services.


The CAG is aptly coordinated by Chris Cappello who commenced at ACSO over 30 years ago working with clients at our original transitional services. Chris is supported by Susan Beach, an ex-consumer who now works for ACSO and fulfils the administrative roles for this pivotal group.

The CAG provides input into strategic planning and knowledge and guidance into services and programs and participate in ACSO activities as required.  They also produce a quarterly client magazine, Tides which has informative articles, resources and details of support networks for our consumers.  The CAG is pivotal in the redesign of ACSO’s processes in relation to teaching our clients about their rights and responsibilities, and building their advocacy skills, which will be a more peer-delivered process.
